He Chuan is located in the northwest of Chongqing and derives its name from the unique landscape where three rivers—the Jialin River, Qujiang River, and Fujiang River—converge. As Chongqing’s sixth satellite city, He Chuan also serves as the first station of the China-Europe Railway Express in the region.
The district boasts numerous tourist attractions, including historical sites like Diaoyu Fortress, charming ancient towns such as Laitan Town, and stunning lakes like Shuanglong Lake. Conveniently situated about 60 kilometers from Chongqing’s urban area, He Chuan is easily accessible, taking approximately one hour by car or just 35 minutes on a high-speed train, making it an excellent destination for visitors.
He Chuan is a very safe area with a modern urban lifestyle. However, services for foreigners may not be as readily available as in the central urban areas of Chongqing.
